No More Muggins

No More Muggins is a practice tool for people who play cribbage in real life.  

Features:

• Practice choosing which cards to discard, or skip the discard phase and go right to scoring.
• Add up the points for yourself, like you would in a real cribbage game
• Everything can be done with the keyboard, and all interactions can be remapped to the key or input device of your choice.
• Change the card images to a cleaner, more typical style

Background:

The name of the game comes from an optional cribbage rule called "Muggins" where if you don't score your hand correctly, your opponent gets the points you failed to notice. And even if you aren't playing with this rule, it's still embarrassing when you make a mistake. No More Muggins is a gift for my mother, who recently started playing cribbage regularly, and was lamenting that digital cribbage games would just calculate the scores automatically.

The vintage card images are from a deck of cards that my mother bought in 1969, and were actually the cards she used when her father first taught her to play cribbage. 

Development:

No More Muggins was created by a first time game developer, with the primary goal of learning Godot, and game development. 

Plans/Ideas for the Future

• Other platforms including web, mac, linux, and eventually mobile
• Customize the background and card images with your own image sets,  and/or expand the options available
• Sound effects
• Tracking your scores over time
• A guided tutorial to teach the rules of cribbage

I want this tool to be fun and useful for people who play cribbage, so please let me know if there is anything you think would be good for me to add, or focus on improving. Bug reports are also welcome .
